Melissa's Review:

The Kiss Quotient is book 1 in The Kiss Quotient series. I read these out of order but they can be read as standalone novels if you choose to. I've seen this book hyped since it came out and not sure why I waited so long but I'm glad I finally got around to it. It lives up to all the hype and I LOVE that it has diverse characters as well as a leading lady with Asperger's.

Stella Lane is all work and no play. Her mom knows dating is hard for Stella but she wants grandchildren and is not shy about mentioning that to Stella. Stella gets that in her head but knows she needs to get a bit better with the whole dating and sexual relationship situations so she starts browsing escorts. She winds up hiring Michael Phan, a half Vietnamese man that escorts one day a week to help pay the bills for his Mom. Michael doesn't know about Stella's Asperger's but knows he has to take it slow because she's different from all the women he's been with in the past and he can't help feeling intrigued by her. They wind up making an arrangement that they'll pretend to be boyfriend/girlfriend so Stella can learn how relationships should be. That of course leads to feelings blossoming and I couldn't wait to see how the couple would deal with that.

The Kiss Quotient is a must read. If you love diverse reads you're going to love this book as much as I did. Stella really struggled with a lot in this novel but you will wind up rooting for her the entire time. Michael is such a sweetheart, he had me happy sighing at how sweet he was. All in all, if you love great contemporary romances you're going to need to pick this book up!
