Melissa's Review:

Diamond Fire is book 3.5 in the Hidden Legacy series. This is a novella and the turning point in the series where we switch the lead characters from Nevada Baylor to Catalina Baylor, her younger sister. The series was extended with the publisher and the remaining books will be with Catalina as the leading lady. I love this series and was a bit nervous about switching characters but Ilona Andrews, a hubby and wife writing duo are amazing so I shouldn't have worried at all. I wound up loving this novella and am eager to read more in Catalina's POV in the future.

The event we've all been waiting for, Nevada Baylor is getting married to Connor "Mad" Rogan! After meeting with Connor's mother for the first time they all agree the wedding is going from a very small intimate event to Connor's extended family is coming in and the event will be one that everyone will talk about. Catalina and her younger sister step up to the plate when the wedding planner gets booted to the curb. They're handling all the little details and trying to keep everything calm, that is until Connor's mother pulls Catalina aside and asks her to do an investigation. A family heirloom, a priceless tiara was stolen and she had her hopes that Nevada would wear it at the wedding. The only people that could have gotten it is her family, so Catalina has to keep things quiet while digging into the Rogan family secrets and discover who was behind the theft. This brings about several dark revelations and I was just hoping it wouldn't ruin the wedding.

Diamond Fire adds another great book in a series you don't want to miss out on. I was really interested in seeing how Catalina would handle having to use her power. She's always been extremely strict on not using them but grew more assured in herself as the novella progressed. I'll be waiting impatiently for the next book to be released in 2019. If you're a fan of Urban Fantasy with magic you're going to love this series.
