Drea's Review:

Hazel Camille Bradford is my spirit animal.

So many authors attempt to write the quirky, Jess-on-the-New-Girl heroine and get pretty close. None hit so close to home as Hazel does for me. Maybe it takes a writing duo like Christina Lauren to pull it off with perfection. From Hazel's cramped apartment filled with her eclectic petting zoo of oddly-named animals to the hair she can't keep in place, she's me. And I'm sure she's so many of you, too. Which is why this book was fun and emotional to read.

Hazel is the girl who remains true to herself because she has no other choice, even if it means missing out on the "normal" guys (but how boring!). Or so she thinks until she gets the one she was always meant to be with.

Josh is pretty damn awesome himself. But he's every co-star in a Betty Grable movie--just there to complement the heroine. And he does, but it's not Josh I remember after putting down the book. Hazel's strength and growth amidst witty banter and a little heartbreak are what I recall.

The blurb hints as if there's going to be a love-hate relationship with lots of sexual tension, but it's more of a friends-to-lovers story. So if you're looking for the former, you might be a teensy bit disappointed. Teensy. Okay, maybe not at all. It's that good.

If you're a fan of this author, you owe it to yourself to read this RIGHT NOW. If not, read it anyway because I suspect you'll become a fan toot sweet.
