Melissa's Review:

Hurts to Love You is book 3 in the Forbidden Hearts series. I've really come to enjoy the books in this series and found out after I finished this one up that it's the last book in the series, it does wrap up things pretty well so I can't really complain. I'll be keeping my eyes out for Alisha Rai's next book though since I enjoy her writing style.

In this installment, Evangeline Chandler is our leading lady, she wasn't my favorite character throughout the series and still isn't, but I was glad to learn more about her than the small glimpses we've had in the previous books. We find out pretty quickly that Eve has a huge crush on Gabriel Hunter for a long time now. Well she decides to see how things go and doesn't mention to him that everyone else in the wedding party delayed going up to the house for a few days, so they'll have the place all to themselves. That's going to cause some issues since Gabriel can't stop thinking about Eve, but has commitment issues and prefers little flings. He's also worried about what will happen if his secret is revealed and don't you know it's going to be a doozy. This pre-wedding retreat sure had a lot of drama and kept my interest and the heat level really got turned up a notch this time around. Gabriel was a naughty boy, and added some dirty talk into the mix.

Hurts to Love You is a sexy read that wraps up the series nicely. I enjoyed seeing Eve's character grow as the story progressed. She's lived a super sheltered life and it was nice seeing her realize who she really is with Gabriel's help. We finally get some details that I've been curious about since book one. We also get to see how the couples from the previous books are doing and there's a decent sized epilogue which I really appreciated. All in all, this was a good read that I'd recommend if you enjoy Contemporary Romance with drama and some seriously steamy scenes.
