Melissa's Review:

How to Date Your Dragon is book 1 in the Mystic Bayou series. This is currently only available on Audible so it's perfect if you're a fan of audiobooks or wanting to check that format out. I'm sure they'll add it as an ebook later on, though I'm not sure when that will happen. I've enjoyed the other paranormal romance books MHarper has written and this was no different!

We start off meeting Jillian Ramsay, an anthropologist that is working for the League for Interspecies Cooperation. She's rerouted to Louisiana to help figure out how Mystic Bayou has had humans and the supernatural beings living cohesively for so long and they can hopefully apply it for when the supernatural beings come out of the closet. Her job while she's there is to interview the residents but everyone seems to be a bit hesitant with answering any questions. The sheriff, Bael Boone is pretty gruff towards her at the beginning but the sparks are there from the start. Bael winds up getting a bit protective towards Jillian as the novel progresses and makes sure she gets to her interviews in one piece and not get lost. This is when a major issue arises, some of the people she's set to interview are winding up dead. We have a killer in the town and no real leads on who's behind them.

How to Date Your Dragon is a perfect read if you're looking for an entertaining paranormal romance. I liked that there was a whodunit aspect to the story too, I'm finding that I enjoy the mystery elements in stories more and more lately. And I can't forget the dragons, I really need to get around to reading more dragon romances since I enjoy them so much. Mystic Bayou was an interesting town and I cannot wait to see more from the series. If you're a fan of Paranormal Romance do yourself a favor and grab this one.
