Melissa's Review:

Roxie Callahan is a personal chef trying to make her career a success in LA when she winds up losing almost all of her clients in one swoop. If that isn't bad enough, her mother calls saying she needs her to come back to their small town and run the family diner while she's out of town during the Summer. Roxie reluctantly agrees after giving it a lot of thought and sets back to her hometown, Bailey Falls.

I had to laugh at one of the early scenes. Roxie is getting a feel of the diner when a local supplier walks up behind her without her noticing and scares her.
"But walk in the kitchen and find your daughter spread-eagled on the floor with some guy's face in her lap, while nuts and sugar snap peas skate around? She won't miss that."
This is how she meets Leo Maxwell, he runs Maxwell Farm and brings something fresh to the diner weekly. They see each other around town and the chemistry between the two was electric. *happy sigh*

Sweet, delectable, swoon-worthy, Nuts is everything I could ask for in a Contemporary Romance. I love small town settings and their romance was sweet but oh so sexy. AClayton's writing style is awesome too. I can always count on it to make me laugh throughout the story. There was even an unexpected bit in the story later on. If you haven't read AClayton's work before, I highly suggest this book. Just be forewarned, you're going to be hungry while you read. mmm I'm still dreaming of that grilled cheese.

  1. Oh that's funny. She's not one I've tried out yet. Glad you enjoyed it, Melissa!

    1. I think you'd enjoy her writing :) The humor tossed in always makes for an enjoyable read.

  2. Darn, is this still on sale?? MUST!!

  3. Nearly finished with this one! Really enjoying it!

  4. I'm glad you found a great contempory romance like that! It was a new one to me!

  5. I haven't tried this author, but I keep hearing great things. I keep avoiding since I don't really enjoy contemporary very much. It does look like a great one.

    1. I'm like that with historicals! :D They look slightly appealing, but I just can't get into them.

  6. I like the title :D...different! I've read her work before...might have to try this one.

    1. Oh yes, I think you'll like it if you enjoy her past stuff
