WoW [166] - Racing the Sun

Title: Racing the Sun
Author: Karina Halle
Release Date: July 28th 2015

From the USA TODAY bestselling author of Where Sea Meets Sky comes a new adult novel about a young woman who becomes a nanny in Capri and falls for her charges’ bad-boy brother.

It’s time for twenty-four-year-old Amber MacLean to face the music. After a frivolous six months of backpacking through New Zealand, Australia, and Southeast Asia, she finds herself broke on the Mediterranean without enough money for a plane ticket home to California. There are worse places to be stuck than the gorgeous coastline of southern Italy, but the only job she manages to secure involves teaching English to two of the brattiest children she’s ever met.

It doesn’t help that the children are under the care of their brooding older brother, Italian ex-motorcycle racer Desiderio Larosa. Darkly handsome and oh-so-mysterious, Derio tests Amber’s patience and will at every turn—not to mention her hormones.

But when her position as teacher turns into one as full-time nanny at the crumbling old villa, Amber finds herself growing closer to the enigmatic recluse and soon has to choose between the safety of her life back in the States and the uncertainty of Derio’s closely guarded heart.
Why I am waiting:
KHalle books always look so good. I've seen a few reviews for her previous books and they all seem positive.

What book are you waiting on this week?

  1. So far I've only read her EIT series (soooo great!!), but I will definitely read more of her titles because yes, they always sound good ;)

    Here's my WoW!

  2. Nice! That's a new to me one as well!

    Have a GREAT day!

    Old Follower :)

    1. Thanks Jessica :) I saw it and was like ooooh new one :D

  3. Ahhh! Halle's my all time favorite author. Her Experiment in Terror books (after the first one...that one sucked) are incredible, The Artist Trilogy was stunning, and Love, In English blew me away. Her other contemporaries are good, too, and she even has a historical horror I enjoyed.
I just won a signed copy of this book. :D

    1. I'm so glad to hear that, I have one or two of her books on my kindle, just waiting for me to read them. I'll have to make sure I read them this year since you enjoy her work so much. Can't wait to see your review of this one!

  4. I have several of her books... yup, they're still untouched. *loser*

  5. Oh man. I've gotten really far behind on her books.
