A to Z & Review - Take Me if You Dare

A to Z Challenge - D

We all know the game truth or dare. This book has two friends that dare each other to do things. The dare the main character accepts is to go out and land a man, no strings attached. Check out my review below.

Melissa's Review:

Jasmine Stewart has spent the past year avoiding any sort of relationship after dealing with her cheating ex. So when her BFF dares her to have a one night stand, she accepts the challenge, though is a bit hesitant. Jasmine hits one of the bars while she's on a business trip and gets rescued from some jerky guy by a sexy man that pretends to be her boyfriend. As you can expect, they do the deed but she winds up sneaking out of the place in the morning without saying anything to him.

You'd think that would be the end, wouldn't you? Jasmine is called last minute to go help with a project in that area for her company. She winds up staying in a suite provided by the potential customer but gets annoyed when someone upstairs gave her room number to all their buddies on accident. When the pizza man delivers the pizza to her instead of upstairs, she winds up walking it upstairs and who answers the door? The guy she hooked up with, Ethan Worth.

Take Me if You Dare was a steamy read that had me flipping the pages to see what would happen next. Jasmine and Ethan both make mistakes, and don't really talk it through so it winds up with the other pissed and in some cases thinking things are over. While that left me slightly frustrated with the characters at times, I did find it was sort of true to life in that aspect, since you know early relationships have that sort of issue quite a bit. I rather enjoyed the book and suggest it if you're looking for a steamy novella. And it's FREE, so snag it while you can. [edit] Looks like it's $0.99 now!

  1. I saw it while it was free, but it was book #1 in a series and I already own a lot of them so I resisted heroically. Now I'm beginning to think I was dumb, lol !

  2. Not sure if this would be my type of read but glad you were still able to enjoy it ;)
