Melissa's Review:

Headmaster is book 2 in the Lessons From the Rack series. I rarely read erotica books mainly because I find the ones I've tried don't have a plot that keeps me entertained. This series though has a plot while still being super steamy and it all just works so well. I can't recommend this series enough.

This time around our lead characters are Lennox MacLure, the owner of the RACK Academy, and Mariela, a dance instructor at the academy. Lennox has sworn off being a dominant since an accident that happened in the past. Mariela can't help her attraction to Lennox but he just seems blind to it and has shut down his emotions. They get under each others skin so bad it was entertaining to see who would snap at the other next. That is until Lennox caves into his urges and they have a night neither can forget. I was mainly concerned on if our couple would put their baggage behind them and move on with their lives. It's a lot to ask but so much to gain if they're able to. This installment was full of emotions since our characters have a past and have been through really hard things in life together.

Headmaster is a stunning sequel to a series I adore. I was really curious about these characters in book 1 and so happy to see this would be their book. The emotions are going wild between our duo and the scenes sure get hot. Mariela pushes Lennox so much but he really needed a good push to move on. This was such a good read, if you're a fan of Erotica/BDSM books I think you'll love this series.

  1. I really want to try Tara Sue Me. I'm like you, very picky about erotica. I do enjoy the genre when it is written well. This sounds like a great one. Wonderful review.

  4. I'm not really into erotica either with a few exceptions. I've only heard good things about this author though so I'll keep it in mind.

  7. I haven't heard GREAT things about this author's books! I've not read any of them and can't say I read a lot of erotica but every now and then I'll pick one up. Is this a direct sequel, or a companion sequel?

Fabulous review, Melissa! Have a wonderful weekend. =)

    1. Different lead characters throughout the series but the couple from book 1 are in this one as secondary characters.

  8. I enjoy erotic romance. So different than actual erotica. it was interesting seeing a dom not want to be a dom. She does have interesting set ups for sure.

  9. Glad to hear you enjoyed this one. I had a tough time with it. However, I liked how much the characters had to struggle in order to heal from the past. It was not an easy road for Lennox.
