WoW [243] - Feversong by Karen Marie Moning

"Waiting On" Wednesday is a weekly event, hosted by Breaking the Spine, that spotlights upcoming releases that we're eagerly anticipating.

This week's pre-publication "can't-wait-to-read" selection is:

Title: Feversong
Author: Karen Marie Moning
Series: Fever #9
Release Date: January 17th, 2017

#1 New York Times bestselling author Karen Marie Moning returns with the epic conclusion to her pulse-pounding Fever series, where a world thrown into chaos grows more treacherous at every turn. As Mac, Barrons, Ryodan, and Jada struggle to restore control, enemies become allies, right and wrong cease to exist, and the lines between life and death, lust and love, disappear completely.

Black holes loom menacingly over Dublin, threatening to destroy the Earth. Yet the greatest danger is the one MacKayla Lane has unleashed from within: the Sinsar Dubh—a sentient book of unthinkable evil—has possessed her body and will stop at nothing in its insatiable quest for power.

The fate of Man and Fae rests on destroying the book and recovering the long-lost Song of Making, the sole magic that can repair the fragile fabric of the Earth. But to achieve these aims, sidhe-seers, the Nine, Seelie, and Unseelie must form unlikely alliances and make heart-wrenching choices. For Barrons and Jada, this means finding the Seelie Queen who alone can wield the mysterious song, negotiating with a lethal Unseelie prince hell-bent on ruling the Fae courts, and figuring out how to destroy the Sinsar Dubh while keeping Mac alive.

This time, there’s no gain without sacrifice, no pursuit without risk, no victory without irrevocable loss. In the battle for Mac’s soul, every decision exacts a tremendous price.

Why I am waiting:
I really need to catch up with this series. I think the last one I read was told in Dani's POV and it put me off so I stopped and forgot to pick up the rest. If you're up to date on these let me know how you've liked them!

What book are you waiting on this week?

  3. This is my favorite *current* series so I'm really sad it's ending. I can't even imagine how it could end. I'm pretty anxious about it. But if you wanted to know, only Iced is in Dani's POV and the others are back to Mac. :D

    My WOW!

    1. THANK YOU!!! That's the main reason I stopped for so long, I liked Dani's POV but not loved as much as Macs.

  4. LoL The last one I read was what I thought was the conclusion to the story. Then they came out with Dani's book and I gave up. I couldn't stand her and the last thing I wanted was to spend an entire book in her head. I heard that the series went back to Mac but I need to work up the courage to read Dani's book first.

    1. If you haven't tried this series yet I think you'd like it! It's Urban Fantasy, she goes overseas to find out more about her sister death and winds up staying there and immersed in a not so human reality. Also finds out a lot of stuff she never knew about herself!

  11. I'm so torn on this one. I could not STAND Dani and the multiple points of views in Iced and Burned annoyed me like crazy. On the other hand, Barrons....<3
