Melissa's Review:

One Fell Sweep is book three in the Innkeeper Chronicles. These books are originally told in serial format on Ilona Andrews' website/blog then later edited and turned into ebook format. I've adored this series from book one and this book is no different. With such a unique cast of characters, I highly recommend this series to any Urban Fantasy lover.

The book starts off with an adventure when Dina DeMille, our leading lady receives word that her sister is in danger and needs her help. With the assistance of two of my favorite characters in the previous books (Sean and Arland), they manage to rescue Dina's sister and niece and bring them back to the inn. It was nice seeing Dina and a member of her family since they've been MIA in the previous books. I'm hoping we get to meet more of them in future installments. Anyway, it's not all about family, Dina happens to give safe haven to one type of being that is being hunted to extinction and as you can imagine things aren't easy going. With the inn under attack, she has to complete several missions while balancing her family life. It was quite an adventure and I didn't see several things coming. The next book in the series will be a must read for sure.

One Fell Sweep if full of adventure and perfect for Urban Fantasy lovers. It has a great mixture of fighting, missions, romance and strong friendships. Dina and her friends make quite a team and I really enjoy how IAndrews makes even a secondary character shine. Add in my fascination with the Innkeepers, and I'm hooked. We get a little bit more information on the Innkeepers but I'm hoping we continue to learn more about the mysterious group. The end opens up a can of worms that I've been curious about and I'm hoping that doesn't hang for a few books. All in all, this installment was one I couldn't put down and I highly suggest the series if you haven't read it.

    1. For some reason I think I read the audio won't be coming out until early next year. February is popping in my mind haha I think they said something about Renee being booked solid until around then. Hope it comes out sooner for you though!!

  8. It started off on her blog? Is that becoming a thing? I've seen that elsewhere. It's a great way to keep an author working on something for sure.

    1. They do it as a serial and update every week or so with a new chapter :) They don't include all the scenes that are in the actual ebook though so it's worth getting the finished product.
