Melissa's Review:

Blood Bound is book two in the Mercy Thompson series. In this installment, Mercy is asked to help out a vampire friend, Stefan, to warn off another vampire in their city. It leads to some crazy shit going down, though. You see, this new vampire that Stefan wanted to talk to has a demon inside him. So he's super strong and not afraid to kill whoever he wants and he just doesn't play by the rules. The body count is growing and the demon vampire is taking people Mercy cares about as prisoner. She and the gang have to figure out how to stop him and how to find him before her friends die.

I'm glad that this book involved both the vampires and the werewolves. Book one had a tiny bit of vampire bits in it, but not to this extent. I like learning about the different beings in this world. I didn't remember a lot from this book as I was rereading so I'm glad to have restarted this series. The audiobook version was awesome, though it took me this long to realize this is the same narrator as the Charley Davidson series, which I love as well. I'm loving the audiobooks and recommend them if you're wanting to reread the series or just read these for the first time.

  1. Not sure if I'm on board. I'm a bit weary of vampires and werewolves at the moment.

  6. I just love this series! I saw that you are re-reading. I've re-read this one as well but it's been a long while so I'm glad you refreshed us on what went on. I love that different books bring in different supernaturals to focus on so they all get a bit of a chance to shine.
