A to Z - Humor

A to Z Challenge - H

Humor

I love when humor in romance books are executed well! Check out some of my favorites below.

Check out our previous A-to-Z posts: E, F, G

Two authors come to mind when I think of humor mixed with romance. They both have an engaging writing style and the humor just adds to the stories.

Alice Clayton - Pretty much all of the books I've read by her can guarantee laughs.

Molly Harper - I've read her older books and love her writing style. She mixes humor in perfectly! I need to catch up on her newer books though.

I'm always on the lookout for new to me books with well done humor. Let me know if you have any suggestions!

  2. I love Molly Harper's books. She is always good for a laugh. You could also try Shelly Laurenston/G.A. Aiken and Eve Langlais too.

    1. I need to get around to Eve Langlais' books. I have a few on my kindle. Started that one then got distracted >.<

  3. Humor is a mega plus for me with books. I read the original fan-fic Edward Wallbanger and it was difficult to get through. Maybe because it hadn't been polished yet? Everyone seems to love the book so maybe I need to go back and read the published version.

    1. I've seen a few people say that! I'm wondering how different the previous version was to current.

  4. I agree. As both a reader and a writer, I want a touch of humor now and then.

  6. Yes to both! Sense of humor is tricky because it's a matter of taste sometimes. Some can be corny, others abrasive. These two though hit the right notes for me too

    1. So true! I've read a few where it felt forced and didn't add anything to the story for me.

  7. Oh that's one of my favorite series! Harper is so dang funny. I was sad to see that series end.

  8. I am loving the Gini Koch Katherine Kat series about aliens. It is so over the top and outrageous I can't help but laugh out loud at some of the dialogue and scenes.
