Melissa's Review:

I've been in a Paranormal Romance type mood lately and was browsing the online audiobooks from the library and came across this one. This is a reread for me, and I remembered enjoying the story for the most part so I grabbed it.

Roman Draganesti is a coven master of a large group of local vampires. At the start of the book, Roman is testing something out that one of his scientists came up with. It's a sex doll that is rigged to bring a more lifelike feeling when biting to get blood. You see, since a good number of vampires switched to the synthetic blood they don't bite humans. He winds up breaking a fang in the doll and has to get to a dentist asap. There don't seem to be any vampire ones so he's forced to visit a human dentist office in the middle of the night or his fang will never work again.

Shanna Whelan is a dentist that is in the witness protection program. She witnessed a mob hit which unfortunately left her friend dead. Since her friend's death, Shanna has a strong phobia of blood. Roman comes in to get his tooth implanted only to be followed closely by the mobsters that are after Shanna. He whisks her off to the safety of his mansion but tries his hardest to not let her find out vampires exist.

The story is cute and fit the paranormal romance that I was wanting. It went a bit crazy with the vampire mind orgy that tried to occur but overall was a good read. I think I'll skip ahead to where I left off in the series to see if the later books wow me. If you enjoy vampire paranormal romance I suggest this series.

  3. This is a book that I've had my eye on for a while, but I always seem to pick something else up instead of this one. I think I'm a little turned off by the "millionaire". I see that and just think of 50 Shades of Grey. I know it is not the same, but my unconscious mind I think still sees it. Maybe I'll add it to my list. I think my library has it on audio too.
