Melissa's Review:

Bronte Dawson is a waitress that wins a beach vacation for two to the Bahamas via her local radio station. She hasn't had the best of luck though, it's rained nonstop since she got there and the female coworker that tagged along is complaining about everything. Bronte tried her best to stay upbeat, but she's woken up to an alarm saying the island is being evacuated due to a hurricane. Yep, things just keep getting better and better for Bronte. The ladies pack everything up and get ready to board the buses when her coworker can't find her passport. In an attempt to speed her coworker up, Bronte heads back to the room to try to locate the missing passport. That's when the power decides to go out and she's stuck in an elevator with a hunk.

The hunk in question is Logan Hawkings, a filthy rich guy that is all work and no play. He also happens to have just purchased the hotel. While the duo quickly finds out more about each other, Logan has been burned in the past, so he decides to hide that he's rich and the owner of the hotel. You know it's not going to end well, you just know that when Bronte finds out she's going to be pissed and wonder why he didn't trust her and all that jazz. After a few days on a deserted island together, one things leads to another and they wind up sleeping together. They of course get rescued after a few days but then the book focuses on if Bronte and Logan will be able to make a relationship work in the real world.

Stranded with a Billionaire was a light, enjoyable read. While I did enjoy it, it was easy to guess what would happen next. That's not always a bad thing for me though, sometimes I just need a break and I feel like this book did that well. I also have a weakness for the whole opposites attract type situations in books. The struggle is pairing up a super wealthy person with a middle class person and making it work. There will be rough patches and they will have my attention. That being said, I would read book two because I'm interested in the group of hot rich guys that are Logan's friends. I'd recommend Stranded with a Billionaire if you're looking for an opposites attract type of contemporary romance.

  3. I've seen this cover but never knew what it was about. In all honestly, it kind of blends in with all the other erotica covers. This does sound like an interesting read though, even if it is predictable. Sometimes you just need an easy read.

    1. I have to agree! Especially when some of our reads are super complex, it's nice to take a breather. All of the covers in this series are similar to this one. I think it has a chandelier, a champagne glass, etc lol Wish they had made it a bit more unique. Though I do have to admit, I like the color choices in the other covers :D

  4. Sounds fun. And it works out well. :) I like the tales of the rich boy not telling his rich so he's liked. It's sweet. :)

  6. I like indulging in formula books once in a while. You're right about the breaks, it's good for things to not be so intense all the time. There's comfort in predictability sometimes

  7. I really enjoy both this series and the spin off one. Some have been a bit surprising but not in a bad way. I managed to not read book one in either of the series though lol I'll have to get back to this one at some point.
