Melissa's Review:

Lea Clark is an everyday woman that just so happens to have a aliens as a stepfather and stepbrothers. When her stepbrothers spring a surprise visit to Lea's work one day, she's wondering what is going on. They tell her that she is their Neba (think soul mate) and like a smart lady, she heads home for the day. I mean, what would you do if your soulmate(s) are your stepbrothers, and they're aliens? The story from there revolves around Lea accepting her stepbrothers as love interests, and telling her family/friends.

Her Stepbrothers Are Aliens cured my curiosity of stepbrother books, and not in the way I hoped. There were quite a few editing issues that I noticed while reading, which I hope were fixed before it was published. The story itself felt kind of lacking. It was almost like several big erotica trends were chosen but nothing was the main focus, so everything was lost in the clutter. The few bits of smut in the novella had me laughing and/or rolling my eyes. I wanted to enjoy this book, but I think it just wasn't for me. I recommend this if you like stepbrother alien BDSM menage erotica books.

    1. Hope so! I've read a few lately that were just meh to me, not sure if I'm just not picking well or I'm being grumpy.

  3. I read one of hers a while back and wasn't impressed either. It was a dragon bdsm one and just...not so great. I love dragons and bdsm so thinking it was the writing. I wouldn't hold all stepbrother books to this one.

    1. *nods* I'll have to try another stepbrother book sometime soon. And yeah, a dragon one would hook me too, but I don't think her writing style is for me.

  6. It sounds like the author just didn't do it for you. Maybe if another author wrote something along the same lines you'd enjoy it a lil more? However, the whole concept doesn't interest me so it would probably be a flop for me even if it was better edited. Thanks for reading this for me, Melissa ;)

    1. I'm a hard sell on alien books, I read one (finished it last night) and it was quite good. But the editing, or lack there of on this one was a major issue. So was the plot *shakes head*

  7. Look at you, you kinky vixen! I wouldn't even touch this. Stepbrothers themes and tropes are not my thing. Unless it's a dark thriller where someone brutally dies in the end...

  8. I hate when people just write smut and think that'll cover poor writing! This sounds like ah...something else, haha!
