Melissa's Review:

Gin Blanco returns in book 11 of the Elemental Assassin series. This time around Gin is dealing with a drug lord that has a new drug on the street called Burn. It affects everyone, but Elementals are affected strongly. Beauregard Benson, the drug lord in question is a crazy villain. But with Gin and her posse of friends at her side, you know there will be an epic battle. I was hoping we'd find out and fight M. M. Monroe in this installment, but it's pretty much guaranteed it will be in the next book.

I only have one real complaint in this book and it's with one of the characters. Oh Bria (Gin's sister), how I thought I was liking your character and we return to the I'm going to smack you if you keep acting like a fool. She finally accepted Gin for who she was several books back and I started enjoying her character, now it's a complete 180 and I just want to fast forward through her bits. I didn't, but I wanted to. All in all this was a solid addition to the series and I enjoyed it. I'd suggest this series for someone that enjoys Urban Fantasy.

  1. you're so tempting me with all your reviews about this series and I'm still so late, that's soooooo bad! But great to see it's again really good!

  2. Yea, Bria does take a while to come to terms with Gin's "second job". I think you'll find that in Black Widow, she accepts it a little better.

    1. I actually like Bria's character, I think that's why it pissed me off that she was acting like that. Hope we don't see her that way in the future installments.

  5. Bria really pissed me off in this installment too. I thought she'd FINALLY got that high horse stick out of her ass, but apparently not. Other than that though I enjoyed this book. The big bad was AWESOME, and I loved how Gin 'came out' in this novel.

    1. I'm glad you had warned me a few months ago about Bria being like this again >.< I was like wtf is going on, we've gotten over this why is she reverting?! I wasn't expecting her to come out like that, glad she did though! :D
