Melissa's Review:

Kate Daniels returns in book three of the Kate Daniels series. This time around Kate's friend is beaten to a pulp and left for dead. For some reason he's not able to heal, shift, etc like the werewolf he is. In order to figure this out, Kate investigates the Midnight Games. The first rule of the Midnight Games is you don't talk about the Midnight Games. Just kidding, this book did remind me of Fight Club if you add in magic and toss in some Gladiator.

Curran, the Beast Lord is my favorite alpha in any books I've read. I just keep waiting and waiting to see when Kate and Curran will be an item. They make a bet near the end that I can't wait to see how that plays out. Kate's character as I've mentioned in the previous book reviews is a very tough female. She is smart, strong and doesn't take anything from anyone. She tends to have remarks that probably shouldn't be said, but are hilarious. The series itself is getting better and better with each book. If you haven't read this series yet and you enjoy Urban Fantasy books I strongly suggest reading these.

  1. Yes! Curran is the man!! Although it runs almost neck to neck with Jericho Barrons from the Fever series, and I say almost coz Barrons is my all-time fav. but I totally agree, he's absolutely yummy!
I'm glad you loved this one too :) I'm finally back from my Christmas trip, and trying to catch up :)
