WoW [125] - Darling Beast

Darling Beast - Elizabeth Hoyt
Release Date: October 14th 2014

A MAN CONDEMNED . . .

Falsely accused of murder and mute from a near-fatal beating, Apollo Greaves, Viscount Kilbourne has escaped from Bedlam. With the Crown's soldiers at his heels, he finds refuge in the ruins of a pleasure garden, toiling as a simple gardener. But when a vivacious young woman moves in, he's quickly driven to distraction . . .

A DESPERATE WOMAN . . .

London's premier actress, Lily Stump, is down on her luck when she's forced to move into a scorched theatre with her maid and small son. But she and her tiny family aren't the only inhabitants—a silent, hulking beast of a man also calls the charred ruins home. Yet when she catches him reading her plays, Lily realizes there's more to this man than meets the eye.

OUT OF ASH, DESIRE FLARES

Though scorching passion draws them together, Apollo knows that Lily is keeping secrets. When his past catches up with him, he's forced to make a choice: his love for Lily . . . or the explosive truth that will set him free.
Why Drea is waiting:
Elizabeth Hoyt's heroes are almost as sizzling hot as her love scenes and her heroines. This one sounds like he's going to be a typical Hoyt hero. Plus a Beauty and the Beast retelling? Just take my money!

    1. She's a bit more explicit than most historical romances I happen upon, but as long as you're okay with that, she's SO good.

  4. You know what? I went to preorder this and discovered Ms. Hoyt is published by Grand Central, which means she's in the same boat as me. Amazon has blocked all preorders of our books in an effort to twist GC's arm to negotiate a better contract. I'm sick and tired of being Amazon's leverage!! I have a book that releases Nov. 4th, and no one can preorder it.
    So sad...

    1. :( I hope they settle things soon, it's ridiculous that they're doing this still!

    2. *sigh* That's crazy.
I got this one on Netgalley and it's as good as it seems, so perhaps mark your calendar?
