Review: Beautiful Bitch

Title: Beautiful Bitch
Author: Christina Lauren
Release Date: July 9th 2013
Format: Paperback
Source: Won on TalkSupe
Buy: Amazon, BN

Chloe & Bennett return in the novella Beautiful Bitch. It picks up right where Beautiful Bastard left off. Here's a bit of rehash in case you missed my review. Chloe is an intern for Bennett, they both argue with one another like crazy. Attraction that neither wants to face, so they start having hate sex. Bing bam boom, hate sex turns into real feelings.

I'll be perfectly honest with yall. This story could have just been included in Beautiful Bastard. I felt like there wasn't really a plot throughout this novella as a stand alone book. I've had this issues with novellas before, but had high hopes. It was short, not much smut compared to book one, but it did wrap things up between the two from the existing book. So while I do like the character wrap up, it didn't really meet my expectations. Is this going to stop me from reading book two? No. I'll probably just read book two then the novella back to back so I don't have this issue again. If you're interested in the series, I suggest you do the same. Buy both the actual book and the novella and read them back to back. Otherwise, skip the novella. I'd recommend this series if you're wanting a smutty read that has a boss and intern relationship.

  2. I didn't like the couple and didn't bother researching the rest of the series. Do you get a different one with each new book? I hope so because I don't want you to get stuck with these two!

  3. I added Beautiful Bastard to my TBL after your review, but I'm definitely passing on this one.
    Thanks for reviewing!

  4. Oh that's kind of annoying. When authors do that I always feel like they're trying to scam the reader out of more money. Maybe not the nicest thought on my part but really just have it all in one and be done with it :/
