Honey, a human, runs a bar that is open for both humans and shifters. She's a lover of hedgehogs and has 3 of them as pets. Unbeknownst to her, Blake, the shifter that won't take a hint happens to be a werehedgehog. He has a major thing for Honey, and is determined to say the least.

While there was some steamy sexy scenes, I found myself laughing when I wasn't meant to. Mainly because of the werehedgehog and his antics. I also found the main character, Honey, getting on my nerves. If I read the term "Hedgie" or "virgin ring of muscle" again it will be too soon. I picked up Hedging His Bets because I was in a silly mood, it was exactly what I expected. This book is on the erotic side, and is a very quick read. I believe Amazon said it came in at around 70 pages. While this book wasn't exactly for me, it satisfied my curiosity of werehedgehogs.

  3. LOL I think I'd be good not hearing those two phrases already but a werehedgehog is pretty damn creative. I love when authors pull in species other than the typical wolves/bears/cats.

  4. Virgin ring of muscle? ROFL. I'm not sure if I should be offended by that. And a werehedgehog sounds like Sonic on steroids
